Vicenza, On the Covid emergency and vaccines, unified conference of mayors with the new general director of Aulss 8 Berica

Vicenza, this morning a unified video conference for the mayors of the east and west areas of Aulss 8 Berica. On the agenda, a first in-depth discussion with the new general director Maria Giuseppina Bonavina on the spread of Covid and the vaccine plan.

Bonavina confirmed to the mayors that he had found an optimal, dynamic and flexible reality in the organization even in these emergency times, with a complex infection situation, even if less critical than elsewhere in Veneto.

“For our part – comments the mayor Francis Rucco, who participated in the meeting with the councilor for social policies Matteo Tosetto – we reiterated the maximum availability of the Municipality of Vicenza in supporting the vaccination campaign, which is destined to register a new impetus in the coming weeks. In this sense I proposed to evaluate possible new vaccination centers for the entire territory, for example to the east of the city, in addition to the exhibition center or to be ready with other locations if and when in the future Ieg needs the hub spaces for resume their activities." 

During the video conference, news was also given of the confirmations of Salvatore Barra as health director of Aulss 8 Berica and of Giampaolo Stopazzolo as director of social services, alongside the new appointment as administrative director of Fabrizio Garbin in place of Tiziano Zenere, who retired .
