Arezzo, anti-vaxers threaten Deputy Mayor Tanti with an intimidating leaflet

Despite the flyer found at his home, the Deputy Mayor remains indifferent, continuing his pro-vaccination campaign

Arezzo, another warning signed by the ViVi group was found not far from the deputy mayor's home. This time threats are no longer generic but directly addressed to the person of Lucia Tanti. The language is the same used for the intimidation directed at other institutional figures who have been noted over time for their full and convinced support for the vaccination campaign, both through clear and defined positions and through institutional and political work in favor of the spread of immunization towards all citizens. The complaint will be filed in the next few days, in the meantime the municipal police are checking whether other flyers of the same kind have been left in other parts of the city. What is certain is that an overall accurate and personalized flyer left near home signals the precise desire on the part of anti-vaxxers to raise the level of aggression and threat.
“I also remain rather indifferent to this attack, at this point no longer generic but personal – commented the deputy mayor Lucia Tanti. – My position does not change, I am actually proud of the fact that I am considered a pro-vaccination symbol. I take this opportunity to invite citizens to continue their intelligent response in favor of vaccination and to thank all the medical and healthcare staff for the extraordinary work they are doing in these difficult hours. I also thank the citizens who I have heard from dozens and dozens in recent days for the understanding and patience they are demonstrating at a time when the system, weakened by extraordinary numbers, has shown moments of criticality".
