Portomaggiore. Drug possession, drunk driving and administrative sanctions: extraordinary checks by the Carabinieri.

On the afternoon of Thursday 8 August, i Carabinieri of the Portomaggiore Company, supported by colleagues from the NAS Carabinieri of Bologna and the Carabinieri Forestry Unit of Portomaggiore, they have carried out yet another extraordinary service of territorial control, aimed at combating crime in general, with particular attention to the spread of narcotics and violations of environmental and health matters.

This time, the military concentrated in the municipality of Portomaggiore and Argenta, where they carried out thorough checks on 6 commercial establishments, around seventy people and around forty vehicles, deemed to be of operational interest.

The budget is 4 people reported to the Judicial Authority, two Pakistanis, as one, in addition to not showing an identification document, was found in possession of gr. 10,30 of Hashish, while the other was found to be irregular on national territory; a Nigerian citizen because he did not comply with the Police Commissioner's order to leave the national territory within 7 days, and finally an Italian found driving a car with a blood alcohol level of 1,37 Gl, whose driving license was withdrawn .

During the same service, the Carabinieri of the Portuense Company reported to the Prefect of Ferrara, three Italian citizens for possession of narcotic substances for personal use, in this case Hashish and Marijuana, and imposed an administrative fine of €102,00 on a Pakistani for drunkenness.

In the meantime, colleagues from the Carabinieri Forestry Unit of Portomaggiore have raised the issue administrative sanctions for a total of €1.100,00 to a company and a private individual, for having shot down a total of no. 11 trees.

Finally, the Carabinieri of the NAS of Bologna proceeded to check a bar, reporting it, for the measures of competence to the ASL of Ferrara, for poor hygienic conditions of the premises.
The Carabinieri announce that the extraordinary control services in the port area, as in the rest of the province, will continue in the coming weeks.
