A womens, already known to the police, was reported by the Carabinieri of the Mesola Station for aggravated theft of electricity.
The investigation started after the reports from some residents, made suspicious by strange malfunctions in public lighting.
The military, who intervened on the morning of 13 February, they found that the woman had tampered with a lighting control unit, illegally connecting it to the home where he lived in rented accommodation. The owners of the property, unaware of everything, were immediately informed.
But that's not all. During the checks, the Carabinieri they found serious structural deficiencies in the building, so much so as to require theintervention of the Technical Office of the Municipality of Mesola. The technicians, after an inspection, declared thehouse uninhabitable for safety reasons.
The operation is part of the daily activity of prevention and control of the territory carried out by the Carabinieri to counter the widespread illegality phenomena and above all to protect the community safety.
