Cento, “My electric bicycle was stolen, what can I do?”. The Carabinieri of the Station find it and report two foreigners

Cento (Ferrara), “My electric bicycle was stolen, what can I do?”. The Carabinieri of the Station find it and report two foreigners

A few days ago, a 70-year-old pensioner went to a supermarket in Cento and left his pedal-assisted bicycle in the designated parking lot, securing it with a padlock.

When he returned, however, his bike was no longer there.
The man was so disheartened at not finding his expensive bicycle that had been given to him by his family. In fact, the vehicle was the only way for him to move around the city because, after having worked as a driver for a lifetime, he had no longer been able to renew his driving license.

Cento, “Mi hanno rubato la bicicletta elettrica come posso fare?”. I Carabinieri della Stazione la ritrovano e denunciano due stranieri

The day after the theft he had gone to the military of the Carabinieri Station of Cento to file a complaint but to his great surprise his bicycle had already been recovered. Yes because shortly after it had been stolen, a carabiniere, off duty, had noticed two foreigners dragging an electric bicycle with a padlock blocking one wheel.

Aware that it could be a theft, the soldier had requested the intervention of a patrol from the Cento Operations Center. The Gazzella intervened quickly, recovering the bicycle, which in the meantime had been abandoned among the hedges. The two foreigners were therefore reported at liberty to the Este Prosecutor's Office for theft and one of them also for illegal residence on national territory.

The joy of the owner is indescribable, as his only “means of transport” was returned to him in the presence of his children who accompanied him to the barracks.
