Ferrara: He sneaks into a parked car, 19-year-old arrested for attempted theft

It was around 13pm on Thursday 31 October and the parking lots of the commercial businesses on Via Bologna were packed with parked cars.

A 19 year old man of foreign origin, while walking among the parked cars, he noticed that one of them had been left by the owner with the lock open.

Thinking that no one was watching, he opened the door and he got inside the vehicle starting to rummage through the drawers. Instead, everything happened under the eyes of some witnesses who immediately contacted the emergency number 112.

Within a few minutes a patrol from the San Martino station arrived on site and The young man was stopped and arrested for attempted aggravated theft. He was then transferred to the security cells of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Ferrara where he remained until the morning of November 2nd when, at the Este Court, the arrest was validated: the man was residence ban in Ferrara applied and released.
