Ferrara: Police Headquarters, Carabinieri and Local Police carry out a joint service in the most sensitive areas of the city

In compliance with what was established between the Police Forces and the strategic guidelines developed in the Prefecture, on the occasion of the recent Committees for Public Order and Safety, an extraordinary joint intervention was put in place between all the Police Forces, with particular reference to the areas of Viale Cavour, Piazzale della Stazione, Piazza Castellina, Via IV Novembre and Piazza Cacciaguida aimed at combating all forms of illegality linked not only to drug dealing, but also to combating predatory crimes, compliance with immigration laws, decorum, and urban safety.

In particular, five patrols and ten officers and soldiers from the Police Headquarters, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri, the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza and the Terre Estensi Local Police Corps, have controlled, all the most sensitive areas in terms of public order and safety. During the activities the following results were obtained, in particular, 45 people identified, including 20 foreigners, 17 vehicles checked and 1 traffic violation issuedThe joint activity is part of the'a wide series of initiatives that the Prefecture of Ferrara and all the Police Forces have jointly intended to launch to address the numerous reports received from citizens regarding bivouacs and drug dealing in the various parks and neighborhoods of the city of Ferrara.
