Ferrara, fear in the center. 19-year-old threatens passers-by to extort money.
On February 2, a patrol of the Radiomobile Section of the Ferrara Company was carrying out a routine control service in the city center. The military car was stopped by a group of young people who said they had met two boys who had behaved violently towards them.
One of the two boys, after having pushed them, approached a little boy taking over his cell phone and then, in a threatening manner, to demand money to give it back to him.
The young victim paid the sum of 10 euros and the device was returned to him. The carabinieri, having noted the description of the two boys, began looking for them. When they arrived in Piazza Trento e Trieste, the carabinieri's attention was drawn by a mens that came pushed by a young man corresponding to the description received shortly before.
The person had intervened in order to stop the young man, who had been noticed while he was trying to carry out the same criminal action and again to the detriment of a young victim.
The boy, later identified as a 19-year-old resident in the province, immediately attacked the military hitting them with kicks and pushes.
Once immobilized by the Carabinieri, he was transported to the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Ferrara where he was declared in arrest for resisting a public official. By order of the Public Prosecutor on duty, the 19-year-old was held in the Command's holding cells pending the holding of the validation hearing.
