Masi Torello: The Municipal Administration thanks the Carabinieri Major Antonio Muzi
In the Masi Torello City Council Hall, the Mayor, Attorney Samuele Neri and his Administration wanted to pay tribute to a thanks to Major of the Carabinieri Antonio Muzi, former Commander of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Portuense Arma Company, in whose jurisdiction the municipality of Masi Torello also falls.
Major Muzi, who left active service in the force last September 30, is a Masi citizen by adoption; in fact, he has lived in Masi since 1989, having married Mrs. Maria Grazia, originally from the place. Born in 64, Roman, Major Muzi can boast a 43-year military career, all spent in the province of Este. Enlisted in the force in 1981 as a "simple" Carabiniere, he climbed the ranks of the force until reaching the top role of Officer, where he reached the rank of Major, constantly earning the appreciation not only of his superiors but also of the local authorities.
He has always been involved in the fight against all forms of local crime, coordinating, just to mention the most recent, investigations into crimes against people and property, drug dealing and "gangmastering in agriculture", particularly felt in this province.
A few weeks after his discharge, the Municipal Administration of Masi Torello – in the presence of Captain Raffaele Tufano, Commander of the Portomaggiore Carabinieri Company and Chief Marshal Ciro Longobardi, Commander of the Voghiera Carabinieri Station – he therefore wanted to give him a plaque and a parchment, in memory of his commitment to the territory.
