Riva del Po: Extraordinary checks, one arrested, one reported and two cars seized

The Carabinieri of Copparo have definitely intensified controls on all the main roads of Riva del Po to prevent and repress crimes.

In the course of extraordinary checks, the Carabinieri:

• have 42 year old arrested resident in the Copparo area, already known to the police, who, following investigations, was the recipient of an execution order for imprisonment issued by the Court of Rovigo, having to serve a ten-month prison sentence for drug-related crimes committed in 2022. At the end of the operations, the arrested person was placed under house arrest.;
• 52-year-old reported at large for drunk driving of the area, who when subjected to the breathalyser test, resulted in driving with an alcohol level four times higher than the permitted level;
• 25 vehicles were checked and 35 people were identified, with five violations of the Highway Code being contested (one for driving without insurance coverage, one for driving a vehicle with an unregistered foreign license plate and one for transporting a minor without suitable restraint systems).

The Carabinieri have announced that extraordinary control services in the territories of Copparo, Riva del Po, Tresignana and Jolanda of Savoy, will continue in the coming weeks.
