Argenta: theft of weapons from the Carabinieri car, the alleged perpetrator arrested again.

In March he had been placed under arrest as a suspect in a crime because the Carabinieri had identified him - following incessant, complex and meticulous investigative activities - as the alleged perpetrator of the theft of two machine guns and their ammunition, stolen on an evening in late February in San Nicolò di Argenta by a police patrol car, taking advantage of the fact that the two soldiers had intervened in a house due to a violent argument and had parked the vehicle along the road.

In May he had been granted house arrest, which he had, however, violated twice, being caught outside his home by the same Carabinieri the first time in August and a second time just a week ago when, on 18 October last, he had also attacked a Vice Brigadier who, although he was not on duty, had stopped him and arrested him.

Following these violations of the house arrest regime, the Este Court - accepting the report of the men of the Arma - revoked the benefit and ordered that the man, a 65-year-old from Argentina, be taken to prison in pre-trial detention.
In execution of the judicial order, the Carabinieri of the Portuense Company picked him up from his home and, after the necessary formalities, accompanied him to the “Satta” prison in Ferrara.
