Ferrara: Attempted robbery by minors, a 14-year-old arrested in the act.

Around 19pm last Saturday, two 14-year-old students, after a stroll through the historic center of the city, which was hosting the inauguration of the Christmas markets, they went to Via Amendola to pick up their bikes and head home.

In this juncture, three peers unknown to them They approached him and asked to lend him a few euros. When the two boys responded negatively, the three completely changed their attitude and began to threaten them and push them to force them to hand over not only the money but also their cell phones.

The threats reached their peak when one of the three subjects showed a kitchen knife which he kept tucked into his trousers.

At that point, the commotion created by the group attracted the attention of the owner of a nearby bar who intervened to help the two fourteen year olds, making them enter his premises and drawing the attention of the “street tutor” present in the Matteotti gallery.

Meanwhile, the three attackers, continuing to swear at the two victims, quickly fled through the same tunnel. One of the street guardians present, to whom a passerby had handed over the knife used in the attempted robbery, abandoned by the fugitives, alerted the police via emergency number 112.

Shortly after, a crew from the San Martino Station arrived on site and, having immediately started searching, managed to stop the young man a short distance away who had threatened his peers with a knife. The same person, identified in a fourteen-year-old resident in the province, he was then taken to the headquarters of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Ferrara where, at the end of the investigations, he was subjected to the measure ofaccompaniment in a state of flagrante delicto for the crimes of attempted robbery in competition e carrying weapons or objects capable of offending.

The young man, on the orders of the Public Prosecutor on duty at the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Bologna, came later entrusted to the parents.

The knife, however, whose blade was found to be equal to 23 cm, was subjected to seizure.

The Carabinieri have announced that investigations continue to identify the two accomplices of the arrested 14-year-old.
