PNRRR review: additions and revisions for the Recovery and Resilience Plan

On November 24, the PNRR review was presented, revised and integrated in collaboration with the European Commission.
The new Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan was presented which has been revised and integrated, in close collaboration with the European Commission and all the relevant administrations, to strengthen its effectiveness in promoting economic growth, environmental protection, social cohesion and energy efficiency.
In the process that led the Commission to approve the amendment to the Plan, the fruitful cooperation already experienced in the previous months was consolidated through exchanges and positive discussions both at a technical and political level.

The proposed revision approved by the Commission, will be adopted by the EU Council, and will subsequently enter into force.
The approval of the new Plan is the result of complex work, formally started on 7 August 2023, when the Government presented the amendment proposal, approved by Parliament last 1 August, including the new REPowerEU chapter.

Negotiations with the European Commission formally began on 4 September and have seen further 150 work tables, of a technical and strategic nature, in which the PNRR mission structure of the Presidency of the Council, the Administrations in charge of the measures involved and the Ministry of Economy and Finance took part.
The Government has ensured maximum sharing with the social partners, the Regions and local authorities, within the control room which, since September, it met 20 times.
The new Plan, overcoming the numerous implementation criticalities, will allow the Government to support economic growth through a more incisive course of reforms and investments.
As part of the review, they were funding to Municipalities for projects in line with the conditionality and timing of the PNRR has been confirmed in the PNRR.

In Control room in the next few days, in the presence of all the relevant bodies and implementing bodies, the methods and terms will be defined to ensure financial coverage of all the interventions planned by the local authorities. The new Plan, in relation to investments, provides for the financing of new measures, the increase of resources in favor of others, the reprogramming of some.
