The U.S. Treasury Department announced a new package of sanctions against Russia, targeting the the country's two main oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil. The decision was accompanied by a appeal to Moscow to immediately end hostilities in Ukraine and to initiate credible and lasting peace negotiations.
