The Foreign Minister will participate in the meeting under the Canadian presidency. The agenda will focus on the Middle East, Ukraine, maritime security, and energy.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani it was today and yesterday, in Canada to participate in the meeting of G7 Foreign Ministers, chaired by the Canadian government.
In addition to the G7 members, the work will also be attended by Brazil, India, Mexico, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Republic of Korea, and Ukraine, as countries invited by the Presidency.
Ministerial Themes
The proceedings will open this evening with a working dinner dedicated to global peace and security, during which various crisis scenarios will be addressed.
Italy and the United States will lead the debate on issues related to Middle East, Britain on Sudan , Germany on 'Ukraine.
In view of the Cairo Conference for the Reconstruction of Gaza, Minister Tajani will reaffirm Italy's commitment to supporting the American Peace Plan and the willingness to contribute to the governance, stabilization and reconstruction of the Strip, for which our country has already allocated 60 million euro also intended for the efficiency of humanitarian aid.
Tajani will also remember the initiative “Italy for Sudan”, stressing the need for increase humanitarian aid flows and confirming the next shipment of aid from Italy in favor of the most vulnerable populations, in particular children and internally displaced persons.
The sessions of November 12
They were scheduled for today three thematic sessions:

Conflict in Ukraine – in the presence of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, will be dedicated to the defense cooperation and strengthening Ukrainian industrial capacity.
Tajani will confirm the full Italian support for Kiev, after the adoption of the 19th package of EU sanctions against Russia, and the commitment to the Ukraine's energy resilience. -
Maritime safety and prosperity – will follow the path traced by the G7 Declaration of March 2025, which relaunched the action on supply chains, fight against piracy e protection of underwater infrastructure.
In this context, the Indo-Mediterranean Corridor (IMEC) and cooperation with theIndia they take on a strategic role. -
Energy Security and Critical Minerals – Minister Tajani will highlight the importance of strengthen cooperation among G7 members and develop sustainable partnerships with producing countries, promoting private sector investments in projects related to critical minerals and the energy transition.
The mission in Canada is part of Italy's international activities aimed at consolidating its role as global actor for peace, security and economic cooperation.
