Putin hears Modi: Kiev refuses to take political measures to resolve the conflict
Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Narendra Modi. This was reported by Tass, adding that the Russian president spoke with the Indian prime minister that it is Kiev that refuses to resolve the conflict with a diplomatic solution.
«The parties discussed the situation around Ukraine. The Russian President assessed the current situation in the zone of special military operations, pointing to Kiev's categorical refusal to take political and diplomatic measures to resolve the conflict.", we read in one Kremlin note.
The Indian Prime Minister "expressed understanding and support" for the actions of the Russian government following last Saturday's revolt by mercenaries of the Wagner group, the Kremlin said, quoted by the Interfax agency, again referring to the telephone conversation between Modi and Putin.
«In connection with the events of June 24, Modi expressed understanding and support for the decisive actions of the Russian leadership to protect law and order, ensure stability in the country and the safety of its citizens», claims the Kremlin.
