Confirmation of the package of sanctions against Russia arrives after the European Summit

The President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni and the French President Emmanuel Macron spoke out by issuing some statements at the end of the European summit.
The president of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, regarding the conflict in Ukraine, declared that the twelfth package of sanctions against Russia is being worked on.
“We are in the preparation phase of the twelfth package of sanctions against Russia. We are in the consultation phase with member countries. We are looking at how to reduce the remaining revenues coming to Russia, especially those related to diamond exports to Europe and its partners. This can be done in close contact with our G7 partners. Then we will make sure that existing sanctions are implemented correctly.”

Also the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni she expressed herself at the end of the European meeting.
“We talked about Ukraine, we confirmed our full support for the country, even more so now we must not let our guard down”he said the Prime Minister.
Once the European summit ended, there was no shortage of declarations from the French leader Emmanuel Macron “After listening to President Volodymyr Zelensky, who spoke yesterday we also committed to ensuring the continuity of our military support to Ukraine in the long term.”
The European Council confirmed in the conclusions of document released at the end of the summit, that the European Union will support Ukraine in the conflict for as long as necessary. In the document, the representatives highlight Russia's responsibility for the enormous damage resulting from the war of aggression.
