Lecco, Living Land's summer activities

Lecco, the Municipality of Lecco and the District Area of ​​Lecco are also offering summer activities for young people this year as part of the Living Land project. The initiative, which is divided into "Places and paths for being young" in collaboration with ANCI Lombardia and with funding from the Lombardy Region, is aimed at young people aged between 15 and 19 who wish to experience a experience of personal growth and usefulness for the community.

This year four types of activities are planned: “Util'Estate” – activities for the redevelopment of urban spaces, Summer on a farm, urban vegetable gardens, art and graphics. The groups will be coordinated by tutors who will guarantee educational attention in carrying out the activities, allowing the children to live a constructive and stimulating experience, in which they can put their skills into play alongside other peers.

At the beginning of the experience, all participants will receive training on anti-contagion behavior and the use of personal protective equipment. The activity is proposed in compliance with the recent "Guidelines for the safe management of organized social and play opportunities for children and adolescents in phase 2 of the Covid 19 emergency".

At the end of the module, each participant will be awarded a shopping voucher worth 150 euros to be used in some commercial entities.

The requirements to take part in summer activities for young people are age (15-19 years), the desire to get involved, the willingness to be in a group, respect shared rules and the measures envisaged for the containment of emergency from Covid-19, as well as the possibility of independently reaching the places where the experiences will take place.

The activity includes an initial interview for the drafting and sharing of the training contract. The online form for the participation application is available on the website of the Municipality of Lecco and on the project website www.livingland.info.

Applications must be submitted by 23.30pm on Thursday 18 June 2020. The rankings will be determined on the basis of: residence in Lecco (preferential requirement) and in the municipalities in the area, first participation in the experience, order of application delivery
