Vicenza: the film “The life apart” by Marco Tullio Giordana, shot in the city and in the villa Valmarana ai Nani, will be at the Locarno Film Festival.
The film “The life apart” (Life Next), directed by Marco Tullio Giordana, will be presented out of competition at Locarno Film Festival, which will open on August 7th.
Written by Giordana with Marco Bellocchio and Gloria Malatesta, it is inspired by the novel by Vicenza writer Mariapia Veladiano, winner of the Strega prize.
The filming took place in the city a year ago, in the summer of 2023, and also involved nighttime shooting Villa Valmarana ai Nani.

“Life Next” includes an exceptional cast among which they stand out Sonia Bergamasco, Valentina Bellè, Paolo Pierobon, Sara Ciocca and Michela Cescon, in addition to the young professional pianist Beatrice Barison which plays live in the film.
