Information on the site www.comunitacenacolo.it.
During this meeting the boys and girls of the Community will present theMask Ballet' which well represents the transition from the 'darkness of addictions to the Light'.
The event was presented this morning by the district councilor Andrea Avanzi of the 1st district together with the president of the Circolo NOI Veronetta Andrea Frigo.
"An opportunity - explains Andrea Avanzi – offered to citizens to reflect on difficult issues, which are, however, part of the reality of a community which, together, must try to face and overcome, by supporting the youngest, the many problems connected to addictions".
“These are difficult and complex situations, which have also reached the parish courtyards with the presence of an ever-increasing number of young people looking for a quiet and secluded place to take narcotics of various kinds – declares Andrea Frigo –. The show itself is very simple and straightforward. On stage the boys and girls will be masked and each of them will help the other to get rid of the mask which represents all negativity, selfishness, addictions, hatred and violence".
The circle "WE Veronetta” was born in 2018 as a response to the need to have a transversal subject to the nascent Pastoral Unit of the five Parishes of Veronetta which took care of its civic, socially useful and solidarity activities always inspired by the values of the Gospel.
In these six years the "NOI Veronetta" has seen the membership of almost 600 members, mostly boys and teenagers, engaged in various kinds of activities.
Cenacolo Community. On 16 July 1983, the day on which the Church commemorates the Madonna del Carmine, in a ruined and abandoned house made available by the Municipality on the hill of Saluzzo (CN), a town in the province of Cuneo (Piedmont), Sister Elvira Petrozzi, known today as Mother Elvira, she started the Cenacolo Community. It is a response of God's tenderness to the cry of desperation of many lost, deceived and disappointed young people, who seek the joy of living and the true meaning of existence in the false lights of the world. A place of welcome, love and service to life is born which over the years has become a source of hope and resurrection for many people lost in the world of darkness, sad, marginalized, desperate, drug addicts.
The Community wishes not only to be a place of recovery and social assistance, but a "school of life", One"big family” where the person welcomed can feel at home" and thus rediscover one's dignity, the healing of wounds, peace in the heart, the joy of living and the desire to love.
