The opening hours for visiting the Civic Museums have been extended until after dinner thanks to the boom in visits over the long weekend of April 25th.

Following the great public success of the Civic Museums of La Spezia during the Easter holidays and the long weekend of April 25th, the Peracchini Administration has decided to extend the opening hours of the A. Lia Museum, the Palazzina delle Arti, the CAMeC – Center of Modern and Contemporary Art and the G. Podenzana Ethnographic Museum up to 22pm on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April and to hold all museums open, including the Castello San Giorgio Museum, too on May 1st at the usual time.

It is a first experiment of evening opening of the La Spezia museums for offer to citizens and tourists who now experience the historic center even after dinner time the opportunity to access civic collections, to temporary exhibitions and to discover the history of our city.

The intention it is that, in fact, for the summer season, of keep all museums open every weekend until 22pm.

Remember that Sunday at 11am at the A. Lia Museum one is planned free guided tour at the exhibition The contemporaneity of the classic. Dialogue on models between the Lia Museum and the Wolfsoniana, included in the cost of the ticket.

These are the events ongoing exhibitions in museums:
- “Amedeo Lia” Civic Museum, via Prione 234. Show in progress: The contemporaneity of the classic. Dialogue on models between Museo Lia and Wolfsoniana.
- CAMeC Modern and Contemporary Art Center, Piazza C. Battisti 1. Exhibitions in progress: Sarenco. The audience of Humanity (floor 1); Mare Nostrum. The Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets in the CAMeC collections (floor 0); The color room (floor 0).
- Archaeological Museum Castello San Giorgio, via XXVII Marzo. Show in progress: Weimar-era caricatures of a Bauhaus student – ​​Jecheskiel David Kirszenbaum (1900-1954)
- Civic Ethnographic Museum "Giovanni Podenzana", via del Prione 156

- Civic Museum of the Seal – Palazzina delle Arti “LR Rosaia”, via del Prione 234. Current exhibition: Agostino Fossati (1830-1904). La Spezia and its gulf in the nineteenth century (floor 1) and The changing city. La Spezia from Agostino Fossati to the present day (floor 2). The new introductory room to the collection will be opened with the inclusion of educational panels in the exhibition itinerary.
