At Palazzo Mosca, an unmissable experience at the Sonosfera® – the technological amphitheater for deep listening to ecosystems and music, unique in the world – with the program 'Fragments of Extinction in the Climate Clock' to reflect on the future of our planet.

Ready for visitors to the Rossini National Museum a 360° journey into the life and works of an absolute musical genius. For those who love archaeology, here's what to see between the center and the hills: the Oliveriano Archaeological Museum (via Mazza) in the exhibition that documents a thousand years of history – from the Picene period to the late imperial age – and is divided into four exhibition sections: the Picene necropolis of Novilara, the lucus pisaurensis, the town hall of Pisaurum and eighteenth-century collecting (also evening opening on 14 August 21-23pm). At the domus in via dell'Abbondanza you can admire the remains of a noble residence from the early imperial age, richly decorated with mosaics; on the walls are projections of three-dimensional reconstructions of the ancient rooms. A Colombarone we visit an archaeological area – and the antiquarium – exceptional because it is immersed in the greenery of the San Bartolo Park between the Marche and Romagna; here are preserved the remains of a rich late-imperial residence on whose structures, starting from the middle of the 6th century AD, the Christian complex of the basilica of San Cristoforo ad Aquilam was established.

Staying in the San Bartolo Park, guided tours of Villa Caprile, commissioned by the Marquis Giovanni Mosca as a summer residence for leisure and relaxation on the hills outside the city and known for its gardens with historic water features still in operation, capable of surprising the visitor (especially the little ones) with sudden jets.

For Ferragosto there is also a wide choice for exhibitions. At Palazzo Mosca – Musei Civici, 'Spazi a tempo' offers a significant survey of the work of Olivo Barbieri curated by Alessandro Dandini de Sylva: from a wide selection of photographic and video works from the site specific_ series emerges a reflection on the perception of cities of the 21st century. At the Visual Arts Center, 'In the rules of beauty' the project conceived by Numero Cromatico for the Pescheria that explores the relationship between human beings, nature and technologies and invites the public to imagine new ways of inhabiting the world; a pleasant evening opening is planned that offers at 21 pm, a free activity for children entitled 'The carpet of pixels' to discover how humans connect with nature. At Casa Rossini and the Rossini National Museum 'Rossini in London 1824-2024' the usual exhibition curated by the Rossini Foundation which for 2024 is dedicated to the composer's brief but intense British stay which concluded his tour of the capitals. At the Washington Patrignani Marine Museum you can visit Verde d'alghe, the intervention by the artist Benni Bosetto, curated by Attilia Franchini Fattori, for the District 11 – Porto – Mare, which constitutes the ninth episode of the Pesaro 2024 project 'From sculptures in the city to community art' edited by Marcello Smarrelli. Deborah Coli's solo show at the Rossini GalleryEtere' edited by Carlo Bruscia. At Casa Bucci, by appointment you can visit De Bestiarium Naturis, the exhibition with Fantastic drawings, imaginary stories and illustrated dishes by Andrea Carlo Pedrazzini curated by Viviana Bucci.

But since we are UNESCO Creative City of Music, the day of August opens and closes with music with 4 decidedly interesting proposals. We start at dawn, at 5.45am at the Molo di Levante, with the fourth edition of 'The listening space. The voice of sculpture' multi-year project by WunderKammer Orchestra (WKO) and Archivio Loreno Sguanci which offers a tribute to Eliseo Mattiacci 5 years after his death with a performance of music and dance in front of his symbolic sculpture, Reflection of the Cosmic Order. Mattia Dattolo conducts Giovanna Virgili on saxophone, Gianmarco Petrucci and Giosuè Scarponi on percussion, and Masako Matshuhita, an internationally renowned performer, will dance. At 11 in the Hall of Mirrors of the Rossini National Museum, a new appointment with the Concerts at the Museum, five voice and piano recitals by students of the Accademia Rossiniana Alberto Zedda organized in collaboration with Sistema Museo and Fondazione G. Rossini: Viktoriia Shamanska (soprano), Aleksei Makshantsev (baritone) and Dario Sogos (baritone), will perform pieces from Armida, Cinderella and The Barber of Seville, accompanied on the piano by Alessandro Uva. At 16 pm at the Teatro Rossini, a rarity on the ROF 2024 programme: The Cantata Il vero onore, commissioned from Rossini by the Austrian Prince Metternich on the occasion of the Congress of Verona and performed at the Teatro Filarmonico on 2 December 1822 in front of an audience that included the main European sovereigns. Giulio Cilona conducts the Filarmonica Gioachino Rossini, the Coro del Teatro della Fortuna and a cast composed of Sara Blanch (Argene), Victoria Yarovaya (Alceo), Ruzil Gatin (Fileno/Genius of Austria) and Alejandro Baliñas (Elpino); tickets on sale on vivaticket.it and at the Rossini Theater box office info www.rossiniperafestival.it.

Closing the day at 21.30 pm in Piazzale della Libertà, the concert by Annalisa Minetti who will perform covers of great classics and her original pieces, opening with the singer Lily, a very young talent from Pesaro. Promoted by the Municipality in collaboration with APA Hotels of Pesaro, the usual mid-August concert can count on a suggestive location with the backdrop of the sea, the Sfera Grande by Arnaldo Pomodoro and the spectacular Ferris wheel.
