On March 25th, the seminar “Music and Artificial Intelligence”, promoted by SIAE and FIMI, will be held at MiC. Experts and institutions will discuss copyright, AI Act and the impact of AI on music

Music and Artificial Intelligence: the seminar promoted by FIMI and SIAE at MiC

The Ministry of Culture will host the seminar “Music and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities, Risks and the Challenge of Regulation”, promoted by SIAE and FIMI. The event, scheduled for today March 25th at the Spadolini Hall, will bring together andLaw, music industry and technology experts to discuss the future of AI in the music industry. Among the topics addressed: copyright, data protection and impacts on the creative industry.

“Music and artificial intelligence: opportunities, risks and the challenge of regulation” is the title of the seminar promoted by the Ministry of Culture, on the initiative of SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers) and FIMI (Federation of the Italian Music Industry), which will be held at the MiC, today, Tuesday 25 March from 10 am (Spadolini Hall – Via del Collegio Romano, 27).

The Undersecretary of State for Culture with responsibility for Music and related Copyright will open the proceedings, Gianmarco Mazzi.

The President of the Copyright Committee of the MiC and professor at the University of Salerno will introduce the event. Salvatore Sica.

Eleonora Rosati, Professor of Intellectual Property Law at Stockholm University and Pasquale Stanzione, President of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, will discuss respectively “AI training between copyright and AI Act” and “Artificial intelligence, protected creativity and personality rights”.

The seminar will conclude with the Round Table “Music and AI: Finding the Right Balance”Speakers will include: Alberto Barachini, Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with responsibility for Information and Publishing, Diego Ciulli, Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google Italy, Enzo Mazza, CEO FIMI and Salvatore Nastasi, President of SIAE.

The seminar will be moderated by Marta Cagnola, Journalist for Il Sole 24 Ore.
