Monza renews its commitment to tourism: two Memorandums of Understanding signed.

An important step to strengthen the tourist and conference offer of the city of Monza: Lombardy's third largest city, which is constantly growing in attractiveness, has today signed two very important memoranda of understanding together with local actors in the tourism sector and economic associations of business and trade.

The first agreement aims to develop a tourist pass system integrated with the capital city of Milan, the other to promote Monza as a destination for congress tourism and major events.

"Even in terms of attractiveness we are consolidating our alliance with Milano, presenting our city as a tourist and conference reference point both at a national and international level, capable of developing autonomous offers or in partnership with the large metropolis", has explained the Mayor of Monza, Paolo Pilotto.

Towards the integrated tourist pass

The first protocol commits the parties to analyze possible synergies and develop a tourist pass system which connects the main attractions of Monza and its territory, guaranteeing an integrated and accessible tourist offer. The key collaboration is with Milano & Partners, whose founding members include the Chamber of Commerce of Milano Monza Brianza Lodi and the Municipality of Milano. Furthermore, the protocol includes the analysis of synergies with the Yes platformMilano City Pass, managed by the company VOX, concessionaire of Milano & Partners.

The objective is to facilitate access to the tourist attractions of Monza, connecting them to the initiatives already active in Milano. Tourists will thus be able to benefit from a unified experience between the two cities, with dedicated benefits and promotions. This project is part of a vision of sustainable development, which encourages intermodal mobility and promotes the discovery of both cities.

The conference tourism gamble

The second memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen Monza's position in the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Congress and Events) sector, thanks to the collaboration with YesMilano Convention Bureau, managed by Milano & Partners. The protocol focuses on the analysis of synergies between local actors – points of interest, hotels, museums and event spaces – in order to promote Monza as a destination of excellence for events and conferences.

The integration with the trade fair and conference system of Milano will allow Monza to attract events of national and international importance, thanks to its suggestive locations and strategic proximity to Milano. The structures of Monza, including the Royal Villa, the city theatres and the high-level hotel facilities, offer exclusive settings for prestigious events, integrating perfectly into the network of spaces available for conferences and events.
