The renovation works, which lasted a year, included seismic adaptation and false ceilings, bathroom renovations and the removal of architectural barriers.

Saturday 14th September the mayor Mattia Palazzi, together with the councilors Serena Pedrazzoli e Nicholas Martinelli and other school authorities and technicians, cut the ribbon, so the families of the neighborhood were able to visit the premises of the school complex completely renovated after a year of work that involved theseismic adaptation and false ceilings, bathroom renovations and removal of architectural barriers.
The premises have been equipped with new windows with an automated darkening system and new LED lighting. The external flooring has been redone and, overall, the building has gone from energy class "F" to energy class “B”All this to ensure safe, aesthetically beautiful and pleasant environments to the students and staff who inhabit the school on a daily basis.
The new look of the building is also characterised by bright colours that give a touch of beauty to the external and internal environments, in harmony with the project “Without frontiers” which led to the painting on the facades of the buildings of numerous paintings by contemporary artists from all over the world.
“For nine years,” said Mayor Palazzi, “our commitment to having better, more beautiful, colorful, welcoming and sustainable schools has been constant. If places are pleasant, children are happier. And this applies to all areas of the city that we want greener, with parks, play areas and sports equipment.”
The Allende school also opened its doors to students on Thursday, September 12, as scheduled in the regional school calendar. The renovated building was opened to the public on Saturday, September 14.
At the same time as the inauguration, the project “Sportingly Together”, which from October 2024 will carry out recreational and sports activities in the Lunetta district specifically dedicated to young people aged 6 to 14.
La Allende is a primary school that hosts 162 children divided into 9 classes.
The works cost 1.700.000 €, 1.611.942 from PNRR funds and 88.058 from municipal coffers.
After the ribbon cutting, the audience was able to attend a performance by the Lan-De-Sì Collective with the animated games from Alce Nero Cooperative and from csa.
