Historic villages, the ranking of admitted proposals has been published
The Ministry of Culture has approved the merit ranking relating to the public notice for the support for entrepreneurial initiatives for the regeneration of small historic villages. The set of proposals that are eligible for evaluation has therefore been defined: with a subsequent provision we will proceed with the allocation of resources to individual projects, within the limits of available funds.
The Borghi Business Notice aims to support entrepreneurial initiatives carried out in the municipalities assigned resources for the implementation of local cultural and social regeneration projects of small historic villages. The Notice, which falls within the scope of the investment Pnrr M1C3|2.1 "Attractiveness of the villages", is aimed at encouraging the recovery of the economic-productive fabric of the 294 villages assigned the resources. It allocates approximately 200 million euros of the funds provided by the MiC for the National Villages Plan, financed with the Pnrr, to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises interested in promoting in an innovative way the regeneration of small municipalities through the provision of services, both for the local population and for visitors, as well as environmental sustainability, proposing projects attentive to the reduction of polluting emissions, the reduction of consumption, waste disposal, and circular economy solutions.
“The historic villages constitute the backbone of the Italian cultural heritage, an expression of a beauty admired throughout the world which is essential to protect and enhance. Preventing depopulation and giving a new soul to these places is one of the most ambitious challenges that we want to overcome, which is why we are committed to spending the economic resources that the Pnrr has allocated for this purpose with seriousness, efficiency and foresight", declared the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano.
