The Ministry of Culture adheres to “M'illumino di meno 2025”, the initiative promoted by Rai Radio2 with Rai per la Sostenibilità – ESG to raise awareness on energy saving and sustainable lifestylesThe 21st edition of the campaign will take place the February 16, At the National Energy Saving Day,with the symbolic turning off of the lights in numerous museums, archaeological parks and state-owned cultural sites throughout Italy.
The Ministry of Culture adheres to "I light up less 2025 – Energy saving and sustainable lifestyles day”, promoted by Rai Radio2 with Rai per la Sostenibilità – ESG.
The 21st edition of the campaign, born in 2005 from the intuition of the “Caterpillar” broadcast to invite listeners to turn off non-essential lights in their homes, It is organized every year to spread the culture of environmental sustainability and saving resources. Since 2022, the initiative has been held on the occasion of the National Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles, celebrated on February 16.
Next Sunday therefore from the Colosseum to the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence, from the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto to the Racconigi Castle many state museums and archaeological parks will turn off the lights, with different methods and times.
