Culture: the new Superior Council of Cinema and Audiovisual has been established.
He officially took office on Wednesday 3 April at the Ministry of Culture new Superior Council of Cinema and Audiovisual, chaired by the Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano.
The event saw the participation of the Undersecretary with responsibility for cinema, Lucia Borgonzoni, the Head of Cabinet Francesco Gilioli, the Deputy Head of Cabinet, Giorgio Carlo Brugnoni, and the General Director of Cinema of the MiC, Nicola Borrelli.
The Council, established by a recent ministerial decree, is made up of a number of leading members in the sector, including Francesca Paola Assumma, appointed President, Mario La Torre, Lorenzo Lei, Michele Lo Foco, Francesco Ranieri Martinotti, Francesca Maria Vincenza Nocerino, Daria Perrotta, Sabina Russillo, Tommaso Sacchi, Vera Slepoj e Giuseppe Zonno. It should be noted that the task will be carried out free of charge, demonstrating the commitment of the members towards the cause.
During the presentation, Minister Sangiuliano expressed his praise for the new Council.
“I wish the Superior Council of Cinema and Audiovisual good work, an authoritative and independent body that will be able to best carry out its consultative work in the exclusive interest of the main creative and cultural industry of the nation he declared”, underlining the importance of cinema as a form of art and expression close to people, aware of its economic and cultural value.
Also the Undersecretary Borgonzoni he extended his best wishes to the Council, highlighting the importance of their contribution in supporting and developing the Italian film industry.
The Superior Council of Cinema and Audiovisual therefore presents itself as a new fundamental entity for the sector, with the task of promoting and supporting the development of national film production, as well as preserving and enhancing the country's audiovisual heritage.
