Civita di Bagnoregio. 172nd anniversary of the foundation of the Public Security Guard Corps: awarded the Civita 2024 award.

Last night, in the evocative setting of Civita di Bagnoregio, the “dying city”, on the occasion of 172nd anniversary of the foundation of the Public Security Guard Corps, the State Police Music Band, directed by Maestro Maurizio Billi, performed in a concert organized by the Municipal Administration in collaboration with the State Police.

The event, hosted by the journalist Valentina Bisti and open to all citizens and tourists who flock to the town in this period, saw the participation of Chief of Police – Director General of Public Security, Prefect Vittorio Pisani, and representatives of local institutions.

From the stage, the soprano Ilaria Della Bidia he enchanted the audience to the tune of “Once Upon a Time in America” by Ennio Morricone and “Imagine” by John Lennon.

Idirector Giuseppe Tornatore he addressed his greetings through a video message, after the Band's performance of a song from the film "The Legend of the Pianist on the Ocean".

The Mayor of Bagnoregio, Dr. Luca Profili, awarded the Civita 2024 prize to Police Chief Pisani.

In receiving the “Civita 2024 Award”, Prefect Pisani expressed satisfaction for the presence of the State Police, on the day of the 172nd anniversary of its foundation, in a place where there are simple and authentic faces like those of the boys of the “Juppiter” Association who, accompanied by the State Police, reached North Cape in recent weeks. At President of the Association, Salvatore Regoli, Prefect Pisani donated the backpack of the Flames Gold, to whom he renewed his best wishes on the occasion of the next Olympics.
