Brescia, action take: "Lights on stage"
Brescia, after more than three months of forced closure, dictated by the Covid-19 emergency, will finally be able to reopen theaters and halls for live entertainment from Monday 15 June. The difficulties to be faced in securing spaces to protect the public, artists and workers make this date more symbolic than real but equally exciting. An informal network of entities and operators active in the Brescia area intends to highlight its significance and the Municipality of Brescia, with the two city theater bodies at its side - Centro Teatrale Bresciano and Fondazione del Teatro Grande - welcomed and supported the beautiful initiative. Over 20 bodies, institutions, companies, cultural associations, cooperatives, together with a few dozen artists, organizers and technicians from the theatre, dance and circus will give rise to LUCI IN SCENA, a symbolic action whose aim is to affirm the presence and the value (also in terms of cultural enterprise) that the combination of all these realities and individualities has on the territory, contributing to making it culturally and socially lively.
The action will take place without an audience, will be broadcast live and will be visible on the Facebook page of the Municipality of Brescia on Monday 15 June at 21.10pm. At the same time, a video clip will be created which will subsequently be disseminated online.
Artists, programmers, technicians and audiences return to enliven the theatre. The lights come on, the show begins.
