Bologna: Conference “Cyberbullying and virtual risks. How to prevent and intervene effectively”, in memory of Vincent
The work of the Municipal Administration to raise awareness among families and adolescents against bullying and violence online will continue 21 October with a convention in Salaborsa organized by the Education, Instruction and New Generations Area together with Matteo Plicchi, Vincent's father, in collaboration with AICS (the Italian Association for the prevention of Cyberbullying and Sexting)
The conference “Cyberbullying and virtual risks. How to prevent and intervene effectively”, will try to reflect and address the problem of the spread of violence and discrimination online and in social networks, especially among young people, from different points of view and according to the interpretation of various disciplines.
“The family, the friends, no one will ever forget Vincent and his beautiful soul – says his father Matteo -. Our pain, a year later, is unchanged and for this reason I will continue to fight for justice for my son and for all the people who suffer persecution on social media, preventing them from having a peaceful real life. Because the media pillory then turns into a finger pointed at in everyday life, whether it is school, work or family. Finally investigations are ongoing, hopefully that the State does not make discounts and let a signal be sent: those who use social media to use violence against innocent people will not be able to do so with impunity."
