They are over 650 cushions created by the network of associations and local entities for the project "A cushion to keep flying high",charitable initiative whose Proceeds will benefit the teenagers staying at the S. Antonio house in Varese. The appointment is for Saturday November 18 in Piazza Monte Grappa, starting from 10am to approximately 18pm.
“I underline two aspects in particular linked to the project – declared the councilor for social services Roberto Molinari - the solidarity push which constitutes the driving force of the initiative and the importance given to the educational role which sees adolescents as recipients of the project. In fact, the objective is that no boy or girl is left behind and this is thanks to a different perspective that leverages on positive values ​​of sport and sociality".
The initiative aims to support the activity of community for minors Casa S. Antonio, to help young people take up sporting activities and thus counteract the habits that very often see isolated and hyper-connected adolescents. The proceeds from the sale of the cushions will go towards the purchase of
home sports equipment for minors.

“With this project we want to launch a driving force for the many values ​​that sport can transmit to adults and children – has explained Antonia Calabrese, soul of the Varese knitted association – We are aware of the need for movement, especially among younger citizens, for healthy growth, health, autonomy, team spirit, sociality without barriers, good citizenship. The invitation is to local sports clubs to be present in the square on Saturday 18 November with their young and old athletes. We prepared 651 cushions, exceeding the forecast of 400, made by a beautiful network of volunteers, the proceeds of which will benefit boys and girls to remind them of the joy of correct, loyal movement, respectful of the rules and of others".

The Varese goal in the shirt it involved around 300 people from all over the province of Varese: retirement homes, knitters' groups, day centres, recovery communities, disabled centres, the CFPIL kids. A beautiful solidarity network that was created with the Viva Vittoria Varese event and is now consolidated. There are many groups that have joined the initiative: from the Ferri Corti Group to the women of Marzio, Comerio, Induno Olona, ​​Cuveglio, Cittiglio, Azzate.
