Pesaro: Saturday 6 April the conversation between Massimo D'alema and Marco Tarquinio on 'World disorder'
The 'continueCapital meetings' of Pesaro, Italian Capital of Culture: 'World disorder' will be the topic of conversation between Massimo D'Alema e Marco Tarquinio previously postponed and now scheduled for Saturday 6 April in the Alusfera in Piazza del Popolo (18.00 pm). A dialogue that will give ideas for reflecting on the new global balances, on current events and on the reality that surrounds us in continuous and rapid transformation.
Massimo D'Alema, in 1989 he was among the young leaders of the "turning point" who, with Achille Occhetto, transformed the PCI into the Democratic Party of the Left (PDS), of which he was then elected national secretary. He was President of the Council of Ministers from 1998 to 2000 and in 2006, with the Prodi Government, appointed vice-president and foreign minister. He is currently president of the Italianieuropei Foundation founded together with other political and cultural personalities including Giuliano Amato and Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.
Marco Tarquinio journalist, expert in domestic and international politics, he worked for the weekly 'La Voce' and for various newspapers including 'Avvenire', a newspaper for which he is still a columnist and which he directed for 14 years. Formerly a consultant to the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, he is vice-president of the Dante Alighieri Society. He was awarded, among others, the “Valerio Volpini”, “Eugenio Montale” and “Ignazio Silone” awards.
'Capital Encounters' is an event created in collaboration with Passaggi Cultura, the association promoting Passaggi Festival. The next appointment will be Tuesday 9th April with Walter Veltroni who will present his book 'The sentence' published by Rizzoli (Alusfera in Piazza del Popolo, 18.30 pm).
