Oristano, the exhibition "A drawing for Eleonora" online with the works of Oristano students

Oristano, the exhibition "A drawing for Eleonora" is online with the works presented by the students of the Oristano schools.

The initiative, launched by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Oristano and the Oristano Foundation on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the monument to Eleonora d'Arborea, was aimed at children and young people from the city's primary and lower secondary schools.

“The response was exceptional and this is confirmed by the 337 drawings created with great passion and which are now available on the web” says the Mayor and President of the Oristano Foundation Andrea Lutzu with satisfaction.

All the drawings created by the students of the four comprehensive schools with the primary and secondary school classes and the primary school of the Madre Teresa Quaranta Institute are available on the web at this link.

“In recent months we have launched numerous initiatives, including this one, to adequately celebrate the 140th anniversary of the construction of the monument to Eleonora D'Arborea, which took place on 22 May 1881 – observes the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Oristano Massimiliano Sanna -. The participation of citizens in the various initiatives and that of students in this one in particular confirm once again the particular bond that exists between the city and Eleonora d'Arborea".

The initiative "A drawing for Eleonora" involved the creation of drawings using the preferred technique (crayons, markers, wax crayons, tempera colours, black and white, collage, mixed techniques...) which represented the Judge and his own story.
