Frosinone, new appointment of the 2022-2023 theater season with the show "What is the purpose of these money".

Thursday 12 January at 21pm, with the show entitled “What's the use of this money”, Armando Curtius, the appointment with the will return theater season 2022-2023 al Nestor municipal theatre.

Born from the collaboration between Municipality of Frosinone e ATCL (multidisciplinary circuit of Lazio, supported by MIC – Ministry of Culture and Lazio Region), with the contribution of Banca Popolare del Frusinate, the program will propose a highly topical comedy, with Nello Mascia, Valerio Santoro, Luciano Saltarelli, and with Loredana Giordano, Fabrizio La Marca, Ivano Schiavi. Directed by Andrea Renzi.

First performed in 1940 al Quirino Theatre di Rome, the funny comedy contributed, thanks to the subsequent film version, to increase the success of De Filippo brothers, Eduardo e Peppino.

The story revolves around Marquis Parascandolo ditto the professor who, to demonstrate his Socratic, bizarre and counter-current theories, hatches a comically paradoxical plan that reveals the uselessness of possessing money. The world of high finance was yet to come, but the topic, so explicitly indicated in the title, piqued the curiosity of the public of the time so much so that, a few years later, in 1942, the comedy was transposed onto cinema screens with Eduardo and Peppino De Filippo as protagonists. Financial bubbles, interest rates, spreads and confidence in the markets represent redundant information to which we are accustomed and which, for most of us, indicate situations of obscure interpretation. And perhaps precisely by pushing on the paroxysm of the theatrical game, shown to sight, and on the absurd trust of the varied community involved in Marquis Parascandolo's plan, it is possible, with the light-hearted and creative participation of the actors and in a popular and festive atmosphere, to relativize the power of the "money".
