For the theater season of City of Foggia organized in collaboration with the Public Theater Pugliese Saturday 14th (curtain at 21.00 pm) to Sunday January 15 (curtain at 18.00 pm) Joel Dix will be on stage at Giordano Theatre with his show “The race behind the wind – Dino Buzzati or the enchantment of world".
Under the building where a great writer lives, a paper bullet rains down from above in the middle of the night. What will it contain? Unimportant notes or unforgettable verses to save? From this fascinating idea, taken from a story by Dino Buzzati, the new show written and performed by Gioele Dix begins, The race behind the wind.
Set in a sort of literary laboratory, halfway between a printing press and a memory warehouse, the show draws from the very rich treasure chest of stories of the great writer from Belluno - including the famous collections Sixty stories, The colombre e In what precise moment – and composes a mosaic of characters and human events where each of us can find traces of ourselves. The Race Behind the Wind is an unprecedented theatrical journey thanks to which Gioele Dix, inspired by Buzzati's characters and atmospheres, talks (also) about himself, his tastes, his anxieties, his comic intolerance with the irony and taste of paradox to which he has accustomed his audience, sharing the stage with Valentina Cardinali, a talented and eclectic young actress.
