Emilia Romagna Region: 900 thousand euros invested to support museums, collections, cultural sites, homes and studios of illustrious people.
Nine hundred thousand euros for the regional museum organization, which will finance 17 private entities that own museums, collections, cultural sites, homes and studios of illustrious people from Emilia-Romagna. This is the outcome of the announcement from the Region to support priority actions in accordance with the Regional Programme of Interventions in the field of libraries, historical archives, museums and cultural heritage.
The activity programmes presented by the museums to obtain an agreement with the Emilia-Romagna Region for the three-year period 2024-2026 concern activities of enhancement of the assets and collections of cultural institutes, but also new services and installations, technological equipment, cataloguing, conservation and restoration interventions, training.
“With this announcement- comments the regional councillor for Culture and Landscape, Mauro Felicori– the Region offers a significant contribution in support of those private entities that with their activities increase the quality of the cultural offering of the territory, increasing the rich and diversified programming of our regional museum system”.
There are two lines of intervention, differentiated based on the presence of Uniform Quality Levels for museums, to mark an increasingly decisive push in the direction of improving the offer of cultural services: the first aimed at private museums and cultural sites accredited to the National Museum System. The second to private cultural institutions not accredited to the National Museum System, in both cases involved in activities of valorisation, education, mediation, study and research on heritage such as to satisfy principles of regional relevance and interest.
The Region supports these activities with a contribution not exceeding 40 thousand euros per year for the first line of intervention and 20 thousand euros for the second line of intervention, financing in both cases a maximum of 80% of the cost of the program.
17 museums and cultural sites have obtained regional funding for the implementation of the programs presented, ranking approved by the Regional Council
