Appointment with a new edition of Urban trekking, which will come to life on October 31st cultural and historical places of the city with the 19th national day that this year the Municipality of Chieti organizes directly, by adhering to the format of the Municipality of Siena. The presentation conference took place a few days ago with the presence of  deputy mayor and councilor for Culture and Tourism Paolo De Cesare e two of the four traveling companions of the initiative, guides Maria Paola Lupo and Rita Pezzella, which with thearchaeologist Maria Di Iorio e Danilo Mancini for the Musart Consortium, will be the driving forces of the day in Teatro.

"An appointment finally found that of Urban trekking – comments theassessor Paolo De Cesare - The path that was born and that we organize this time directly as Administration to those who want to benefit from it, comes from sharing with real authorities in the cultural and tourism sector, who we have involved to allow citizens to experience a special cultural, as well as experiential, adventure. We have managed to involve the greatest experts in tourism and cultural history, who will guide us on a journey that will touch on various stages, revealing even previously unpublished stories and treasures. I'm happy what traveling companions they will be Maria Paola Lupo who oversaw the artistic direction in the first editions and I am convinced that it is a great professionalism together with Rita Pezzella who is a historical tourist guide of the city, who will be the narrators together with thearchaeologist Maria Di Iorio and Danilo Mancini We will go on the streets of the city, but also among the characteristic places such as the Victory coffee, the former Eden cinema and the Garden,ex Enal, Marrucino, which will come back to life and enliven this very special day".

"A tradition that continues, the urban trekking in Chieti - Like this Maria Paola Lupo - Professor Camillo Gasbarri we entered the process in 2006, participating in the second national day which we immediately joined. This year's route is a narrative of the city's theatrical and cinematographic entertainment venues. It will be rich and evocative and will be opened by an unprecedented, the visit toformer Eden cinema which with great efforts on the part of the department we are trying to secure for that day. Second stage will be the most precious Marrucino Theatre, a nineteenth-century jewel of the city. You will have the opportunity to observe the Art Nouveau style with different eyes Vittoria coffee and the spectacular porticoed wings of the Corso Marrucino, both film sets of cult films. After a stop at Largo Teatro Vecchio, where the first city theater of the modern era stood, we will move towards the imposing building which in the 1930s housed theEnathere, until you reach the remains of the Teatro novel and, visit the rooms of National Archaeological Museum “La Civitella” dedicated to the theater structures of the Roman era and the Mausoleum of Lusius Storax, with the splendid frieze depicting the ludi gladiatorum, the itinerary will end at the Roman amphitheatre. The appointment for everyone is October 31st in via Mater Domini n. 13, three shifts will start from there at 15pm, 17pm and 18pm lasting approximately 3 hours, sports clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended. There are no reservations, the first 50 people who show up for the appointment will participate".

"Being able to take a walk in areas that are part of our history is something exciting, as well as special - he adds Rita Pezzella - Talking about cinema and theater in an end in itself is difficult because habits and customs, fashions of the time take over, a complex picture to convey, especially if all this is combined with a narrative of the place. This special journey allows us to see first-hand what our main places of urban socialization have been, an experience to live. With this day of trekking there will be the opportunity to see the theaters in a different way, to see Chieti like Theates, in his true guise. A path that is truly new and we hope there will be many of us. The entire guided tour will be free and enriched with pleasant evocative surprises to make it even more "spectacular".
