Crotone: State Police intensifies controls in Cutro and its hamlets.

As part of the territorial control services arranged by the Police Chief of Crotone, Renato Panvino, amassive security operation in the city of Cutro and in the hamlets of Fence e San Leonardo.

The activity involved numerous crews from different departments, including the Crime Prevention Department, Administrative Police,Foreign Office, Flying Squad,Anti-crime, DIGOS, Scientific Police, Police Police, Postal Police and a canine team of the Vibo Valentia Police Headquarters.

The main objective of the service was the prevention and repression of crimes, with particular attention to the drug dealing, under the control of criminals under house arrest and special surveillance, as well as to the verification of the regularity of foreigners on the national territory.

The results of the operation

• 247 people checked, Of which 5 non-EU citizens e 65 positive subjects in SDI database
• 140 vehicles checked
• 16 home checks against individuals with police records
• 9 checkpoints with 8 sanctions to the Highway Code
• 5 commercial establishments checked

Checks on commercial establishments

La Administrative Police he verified 2 commercial establishments, finding irregularities:

• In a jewelry store they are emerged anomalies on the volume , failure to display the Police Commissioner's authorization for the sale
• In a bar, has been highlighted the absence of authorization for the video surveillance system

Checks on the regularity of foreigners

THEImmigration office he identified 5 non-EU citizens, checking the correspondence between the documentation provided for the issuing of residence permit,effective domicile , regularity of the employment contract.

The activity aims to ensure that foreigners are in order with the documents and to expel anyone who is considered dangerous or does not meet the requirements to remain on national territory.

Other interventions

• Anti-Crime Division: carried out 15 checks to subjects considered dangerous and subjected to detention or house arrest
• Police Police:
  • 3 administrative checks at car rental and sales centers
  • 7 sanctions to the Highway Code, including anomalies on tachograph sheets, lack of insurance, expired MOT, speeding of heavy vehicles and overloading exceeding 30%
  • Administrative seizure of a truck
• Crime Prevention and Traffic Police Department: carried out 9 checkpoints with 1 further sanction to the Highway Code
• Postal Police: surveillance at a post office, with particular attention to suspicious persons near the facility
