Crotone: patrol cars seize a gun and drugs in the historic center, a complaint.

The activity of the State Police personnel of the Crotone Police Headquarters, in particular the patrol cars of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office, led to the discovery of a pistol and ammunition, some doses of drugs and the reporting of a person.
The weapon, a Walter semi-automatic pistol, caliber 22, complete with two magazines and 32 cartridges, was found inside a flowerbed in Piazza Albani, in the historic center of the city, by officers of a patrol car, during a territorial control service. The officers noticed that part of the soil from the flowerbed had been removed and spread on the road, so, suspicious, they deepened the check, finding the package containing this material, which at the moment has been seized against unknown persons.

In this regard, investigations are underway, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Crotone.

The gun, examined by the staff of the Provincial Office of Scientific Police, was found to be in perfect working order.
Furthermore, the patrol officers, passing through the historic center of the capital, engaged in the activity of combating drug dealing, stopped a 44-year-old man from Crotone, who shortly before, at the sight of the service car, had accelerated his pace, presumably in order to evade a possible check.

The officers, suspicious, proceeded to carry out a personal search, following which they found 3 grams of cocaine, divided into six packaged packages, ready for sale. Therefore, the man was reported at liberty, to the same Judicial Authority, for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics.
