Crotone: the “Grandpa Vigile” project returns.

Also this school year, after the positive outcome of the previous experience, the “Grandpa Vigile” initiative restarts promoted by III Council Commission chaired by the councillor Antonella Passalacqua in collaboration with the Local Police Command.

The Commission, in fact, has meritoriously proposed the establishment of the figure of “watchful grandfather”, an initiative shared by the administration and the Local Police Command, which issued the public notice intended to involve citizens in the age group between 55 and 75 years old in volunteer activities to support the Local Police.

A project that has a double value: on the one hand to reaffirm that old age is not a time for resignation but a season of life in which one can participate, as protagonists, in city life and on the other have, thanks to the loving attention of the "watchful grandparents", a support for important services such as the safety of children when leaving school.

The first grandparents are already vigilant I'm "on duty" at some city institutions. The “watchful grandparents” represent a example of participation, of a sense of belonging and availability towards the city community.

Example, as hoped, that can also be caught by other “grandparents” who are invited to join the initiative using the appropriate form published forms on the website ofDuck and send it to the Local Police Command at protocollocomune@pec.comune.crotone.it
