La Crotone Police Headquarters, on the occasion of the August bank holiday, has implemented an extraordinary security plan to prevent crime, guarantee the tranquility of residents and tourists and protect public order.

The services, conducted with the support of Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza and Local Police, have ensured widespread checks on roads, tourist locations, nightlife areas and public events.
The numbers of the checks:

3078 people identified, of which 560 with previous convictions in the SDI database;

1449 vehicles checked;

111 checkpoints carried out;

26 violations of the Highway Code;

8 people reported to the Judicial Authority;

3 administrative sanctions to commercial establishments, including a nightclub in the capital.

La Railway Police guaranteed safety along the railway lines, while foot patrols guarded the nightlife areas and the most crowded coastlines, such as Cirò Marina and Le Castella.
