Crotone: Man stalks ex-wife and threatens new partner; electronic bracelet goes off

The agents of the Crotone Police Headquarters They executed the order to impose a restraining order and wear an electronic bracelet on a man under investigation for stalking his ex-wife and making serious threats against her new partner.

The precautionary measure was issued following the complaint filed by the woman who reported having been subjected to a series of harassing, threatening and aggressive behaviours by the man., who, not having accepted the termination of the sentimental relationship with the woman, threatened and harassed her, causing her a persistent and serious state of anxiety and fear for her safety, such as to force her to change her lifestyle habits.

Following the woman's complaint, officers from the Flying Squad's specialized "Crimes against the Person" section immediately activated the "Red Code" procedure. Through in-depth investigations, they were able to reconstruct a series of abusive, humiliating, intrusive, threatening, and aggressive acts committed by the man, who stalked his ex-wife, insulting her, and making serious death threats.

The woman's specific statements then allowed us to reconstruct serious episodes in which the man, not accepting the woman's new relationship, made serious threats against her new partner.

The investigative insights and other findings of the investigative activity, handled by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Crotone, led by the prosecutor Dr. Domenico Guarascio, and entrusted to the pool of magistrates specialized in the matter, flowed into a request for precautionary measures which was accepted by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Crotone and immediately executed by the Flying Squad against thethe suspect, who will not be able to approach the woman and her new partner.
