Crotone: Seizures and fines in the joint operation "Focus 'Ndrangheta"

A important joint operation, carried out within the framework of the national and transnational action plan “Focus 'Ndrangheta”, prepared by the Police Chief of the Province of Crotone Renato Panvino, involved the city capital. The activity, coordinated by a State Police officer, saw the involvement of staff from: State Police, Carabinieri Corps, Finance Police, Port authorities, Territorial Labor Inspectorate, Local police, Traffic Police and NAS of Cosenza. The checks concerned commercial activities, people, criminals and road arteries.

Main results

• At a sushi restaurant: violations found in the matter of Food safety, with the 18 kg of untraceable products seized e 24 cans of wine without labels, Besides fines of 3.500 euros.

• At a Chinese business: seized 445 non-compliant products to the provisions of the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).

• Other checks have affected subjects subjected to restrictive measures, vehicles and people, with Highway Code sanctions.

• Two people reported to the Prefect of the Province of Crotone because they were found in possession of a modest quantity of narcotic substance.
