Crotone, new developments in the training course investigation: one arrest and two suspensions for teachers and school staff.

The developments of the broad investigation into school and university training courses involving thePertini–Santoni Higher Education Institute of Crotone.

On the day of November 19, 2025, the Carabinieri of Investigative Unit of the Operations Department they executed a new order from the GIP of Crotone, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office headed by Dr. Domenico Guarascio.

It was placed to the arrest CG, 64 years old, former teacher and employee of MIUR, as well as owner of shares in a training company based in Rome and coordinator between school and e-Campus University.

According to the prosecution, at the stage of the investigations, he would have participated in corruption, disclosure and use of official secrets, linked to the management of pre-selection tests for the TFA support 2021-2022 (Link Campus University).

Bribery to anticipate TFA test answers

The investigations would have reconstructed a corruption system aimed at revealing, before the test, the answers to the questions of the TFA support competition – secondary schools.

An as yet unidentified public official would have received (or accepted the promise of) sums of money to provide confidential advances.

In this scheme, CG would have played a role of intermediary, receiving or accepting the promise of 5.000 €, then partly turned to YES, 69 years old, school principal of the time, and CE, 40 years old, head of the eCampus educational center in Crotone.

The latter would then have provided the secret answers to the candidates who paid the required amount.

Two teachers suspended until 2026

Within the same order, the GIP has ordered the interdiction measure of the suspension from public office and service, with teaching ban until the end of the 2025-2026 school year, towards:

• AF, 52 years old, teacher and assistant to the school principal.

The teacher is held responsible, in various capacities, for: ideological forgery in a public document, aggravated fraud, misleading the administration. 

As a member of the selection committee of 25 professional educators for a project aimed at students with disabilities (May 2022), he allegedly: falsely certified the regular submission of applications never arrived within the deadline; certified the presumed suitability of a candidate without any real evaluation, based on a false resume not attached to the documents; complicity in determining the hiring of the candidate without the requisites, misleading the school and the Province (financier of the project); facilitated the unjustified absence of a teacher (the daughter of the SI manager), allowing her to receive 3.376,44 € not due.

• ML, 64 years old, deputy teacher of the school principal.

The teacher is accused of: ideological falsehood, false material, extortion.

According to the charges, he would have drawn up a false document to make the application of a candidate for the supplementary exams for the surveyor diploma appear "regular" and "received as due", even though it was untimely and irregular.

Furthermore, he allegedly put pressure on the exam commissioners to were forcibly promoted a candidate, reporting the threat from the SI leader to deny them permission to practice their profession in the following year.

These measures are part of a broader investigative framework, which has already culminated with other precautionary measures. 12 November, relating to the Verification of legality in school management, competitive procedures, and relationships with university institutions.
