The State Police of Crotone he carried out a vast territorial control operation, ordered by the Police Chief Renato Panvino, with the aim of preventing and suppressing crimes, particularly those related to drug dealing. The activity involved numerous units of the Police Headquarters and Specialties: Anti-Crime Unit, Flying Squad, Digos (Special Operations Unit), Immigration Office, Highway Police, and Polfer (Ferrovie Nord), as well as the Crime Prevention Unit and the canine unit.

The results speak for themselves: 549 people identified, including 147 positive cases in the database and 43 non-EU citizens, 284 vehicles checked, 33 checkpoints, 5 violations of the Highway Code, an arrest e two reports to the Prefect for possession of drugs for personal use.

The Anti-Crime Division and the Flying Squad have paid particular attention to 33 subjects subjected to restrictions on personal freedom, including house arrest for drug-related crimes, mafia association, and special surveillance, all residing in Crotone.

The Digos and the Immigration Office have identified 12 non-EU citizens, three of whom are positive in the SDI database but legal on the national territory. At the same time, other operators of the Police Headquarters have identified 49 Guests, including 12 with criminal records and 3 non-EU citizens, checking further 34 vehicles.

The activity also involved state roads, where the Highway Police identified 33 Guests, of which 9 positive, checked 23 vehicles and elevated 5 penalties, withdrawing two registration documents.

The Railway Police have extended their checks to the station areas and the main city arteries, identifying 77 Guests and checking 46 vehiclesAt the same time, the Crime Prevention Unit crews carried out checkpoints at various points in the city: 146 people identified, 26 with previous convictions and 3 non-EU citizens, in addition to 79 vehicles checked.

During the service, the canine unit officers arrested a Pakistani citizen, an illegal immigrant on the national territory, for possession for the purpose of dealing. The house search allowed the recovery of 48 grams of hashish, drug-stained knives and packaging material. The man, known in the historic center for frequently selling drugs to young people, has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
