In recent days, State Police personnel performed some services in thehinterland of the Municipality of Cetraro, where, according to collaboration agreements between the local Public Prosecutor's Office headed by Chief Prosecutor Fiordalisi Domenico , Police Headquarters, several checks were carried out.

Specifically, staff of Flying Squad performed services in the wooded and mountain areas of the hinterland, in order to identify a site where a project had been started cannabis indica cultivation, in response to reports received from citizens and farmers.

The checks, carried out night time and according to operating methods suitable for evade video surveillance systems and camera traps, after several hours of research, allowed them to locate, in a vast area, a marijuana plantation spread over a large area of ​​land, where they had been cultivated about 100 cannabis indica plantsThe same plants, between 1,5 and 2 meters high, they presented themselves in perfect vegetative state, well maintained and irrigated.

In parallel with the seizure of the shrubs, the seizure of all irrigation equipment used for plantation care. The seized material, if placed on the market after processing, could have to make undue profits of approximately 300.000 euros.
