Rende, major seizure of drugs and weapons: a man arrested with 5,5 kg of narcotics and a pistol

In recent days, i Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Rende CC Company they did control services in the hinterland of the municipality, during which, the October 25, 2025, have a subject was arrested of flagrante delicto of the crimes of illicit possession of narcotic substances and illegal possession of a common firearm. During one house search, inside a house in the possession of the arrested person, the military personnel of the Arma have found and seized:

• 2 kg of marijuana,

• 3 kg of hashish,

• 500 grams of cocaine,

• 47,60 grams of “live rosin”, cannabis concentrate,

• packaging and weighing material,

• a homemade greenhouse for the cultivation of marijuana,

• a revolver of likely foreign manufacture,

• numerous ammunitions of various calibers.

THEinvestigative activity, coordinated by Public Prosecutor's Office of Cosenza, led to request for validation of the arrest andapplication of personal precautionary measure, both welcomed by the GIP of the Court of Cosenza on October 29, 2025. The the proceeding is currently in the preliminary investigation phase and the suspect is to be considered presumed innocent until'final determination of guilt irrevocable sentence.
