Calabria Region: New Fire Department Headquarters in Paola and Fuscaldo: Government Allocates €8 Million

The meeting was held at the Ministry of the Interior, in the presence of Undersecretaries Prisco and Ferro, with the heads of the Fire Brigade Department and the Mayors of the Municipalities of Fuscaldo and Paola for the construction of the new Fire Brigade headquarters which will be built in the territories already identified by the two Municipalities.

With the aim of always guaranteeing better safety conditions especially during the summer season, it was agreed to strengthen the presence of the Fire Brigade with the construction of a new detachment in Paola and a garrison Summer emergency response as well as logistics hub of the regional mobile column in the Municipality of Fuscaldo.

“These are interventions worth approximately 8 million euros under the 2025-2027 financial planning – they said Undersecretaries Ferro and Prisco– which demonstrate the Government's attention to the Calabrian territory. Thanks to the two new facilities, greater efficiency will be guaranteed for public rescue services in the upper Tyrrhenian-Cosenza area.".

The Mayors of Paola and Fuscaldo welcomed the project proposal and thanked the men and women of the National Fire Brigade for their daily work to ensure public safety.
