Coronavirus, the infection situation in Italy

More than 170 thousand have been discharged and recovered.

Milano, 11 June 2020 – The Department's commitment continues in the coordination activities of all the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
In particular, as part of the health monitoring relating to the spread of the Coronavirus in our territory, as of today, 11 June, the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 236.142, with an increase compared to yesterday of 379 new cases.
The total number of currently positive is 30.637, with a decrease of 1.073 clients compared to yesterday.
Among the currently positive, 236 are being treated in intensive care, with a decrease of 13 patients compared to yesterday.
4.131 people are hospitalized with symptoms, a decrease of 189 patients compared to yesterday.
26.270 people, equal to 86% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms.
Compared to yesterday, 53 died and bring the total to 34.167. The overall number of those discharged and recovered rises to 171.338, with an increase of 1.399 people compared to yesterday.

In detail, the currently positive cases are 17.340 in Lombardy, 3.183 in Piedmont, 2.000 in Emilia-Romagna, 922 in Veneto, 521 in Tuscany, 250 ​​in Liguria, 2.517 in Lazio, 902 in the Marche, 610 in Campania, 467 in Puglia, 71 in the Autonomous Province of Trento, 849 in Sicily, 112 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 539 in Abruzzo, 99 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 26 in Umbria, 43 in Sardinia, 6 in Valle d'Aosta, 52 in Calabria, 116 in Molise and 12 in Basilicata.
